Perhaps because I was raised in the Far East and spent almost 20 years in Japan and Singapore, I now have a passion for travel. I particularly enjoy spending time in cultures where a deep sense of spirituality and sacred ritual are a part of daily life.

As a jewelry designer, pieces that I create are comprised of elements that were acquired during my travels and reflect the cultures of those distant countries that I love to visit; Tibet, Nepal, Bali, Mexico, and Africa.

In addition to my love of other cultures, I am inspired by how gemstones hold the history of those cultures, how individual pendants reflect a deep sense of spiritual meaning and how local craftspeople take pride in their work. I bring this combination of interests and feelings into the jewelry I create. It is my joy to share with you designs that are unique and inspiring.

Each stone used in my jewelry has a story, a history. It had value in trade; it enhanced a connection to the spiritual realm; and, in its present shape, supports an artisan in another country.

And when that stone is incorporated into a piece of my jewelry it is a vessel for ancient stories that you can hear if you listen carefully. For example, try meditating with a piece held near to your heart to experience its magic!

Additionally, the energetic qualities of the stones can enhance feelings of vitality, empowerment, grounding, creativity and that which is sacred in your life.

When designing a piece I listen to the stories the stones have to tell me. As I listen, the jewelry "creates" itself as I put one stone next to the other. This combination of stones becomes a design that is unique unto itself and is waiting for the right person to find it.
